What makes us different?

When you are busy with your work, family, or ministry it can be hard to fit in caring for your own soul. This can lead to burnout or becoming spiritually stagnant. That doesn’t have to be your story. Soul Shepherding offers resources and training for you and the people you influence to thrive with Jesus. Founders Bill and Kristi Gaultiere are Doctors of Psychology and Spiritual Directors who have developed a distinctive approach to intimacy with Jesus, personal wholeness, and fruitful ministry which they teach in their Institute.

Bill and Kristi Gaultiere and their associates know how hard it is to care for your own soul when you’re in ministry or leading other people. That’s why they developed their Institute. They have helped thousands of people, including pastors of large and smaller churches, thrive with Jesus in their life and leadership. When your soul is being nourished in Jesus, you enjoy your work and relationships, your message compels people to Jesus, your team is activated to serve God with you, and your ministry blesses more and more people.

Bill is an author whose articles and books have been read by hundreds of thousands of people. He has served served as a graduate psychology professor and on the leadership team of a megachurch and a church plant. Together, he and Kristi speak to over one thousand people each week on their “Soul Talks” podcast.

The Soul Shepherding Institute features a unique model of training leaders and churches to flourish spiritually and psychologically in their apprenticeship to Jesus and ministry to others. The two-year program features twenty days of learning and soul care with Bill and Kristi, along with options for monthly online groups and a certificate in the ministry of Spiritual Direction. They also provide shorter workshops and retreats for churches. Over 125 men and women in ministry in diverse roles from around the world have participated in this life-changing training.

Through conversational and experiential learning, you will learn the Soul Shepherding model for integrating devotion to Jesus, spiritual psychology, and practical tools for soul care and ministry. You will receive the inspiration and clear guidance you need so that you and the people you influence will thrive with Jesus in life and leadership.
