Jesus wants us to have his joy and for our joy to be overflowing! (John 15:11)
We talked about genuine joy, what it is and what it isn’t, with the Apostle Paul being our prime example rejoicing in the Lord. He did this even when he was flogged and jailed in Philippi and then later from a prison when he wrote Philippians, the happiest book on earth! How? Because he wasn’t just in jail he was in the Kingdom of the Heavens with the risen Christ!
But we didn’t just talk about joy we rejoiced together! This included sharing in a number of “Joy Training Exercises,” including Scripture meditation, the examen of consciousness, a “Joy Shower” of thanksgiving to God, and “Return to Joy” exercise.
